Products:Microfiber Technology: Five Diamond San Diego Car Detailers use only the best available car detailing products to bring your vehicle to a showroom shine. We exclusively use microfiber wash mitts, polishing bonnets, and towels. Comparatively, microfibers are two times finer than silk, three times finer than cotton, eight times finer than wool, and over 100 times finer than human hair. Microfiber technology virtually eliminates any chance of scratching or damaging your cars paint or clear coats. Detailing Clay: Our preferred method of removing airborne pollutants such as brake dust, rain deposits, and industrial fallouts is claying. Other contaminants may include tar, sap, and bug/insect splatter. How does claying work? Anything that protrudes above the top coat surface will be grabbed by the clay and pulled out. Once clayed, the paint will feel remarkably smooth and have that shine that comes with perfectly clean paint. Clay was invented in Japan in the late 1980s to remove over spray and minor flaws from freshly painted vehicles at body shops. The only method of dealing with surface imperfections in the states before claying was compounding, which does remove tiny layers of clear coat every time you do it. Contrary to compounding, claying is non-abrasive and does not harm the paint; we perform this step right before hand waxing, ensuring a brilliant showroom shine. Carnauba Wax: What is Carnauba Wax? It is the hardest natural wax available, harvested from the leaves and buds of the Brazilian "Tree of Life" (Copernica Cerifera), also known as the wax palm.
